Instant Greenhouse Pallet Wrap Thermal Aqua Storage
This is not the prettiest greenhouse BUT it does work very well. I have tested standard pallet wrap for UV and it has surpassed 2 years without a problem. The wrap clings and if wrapped properly, it will not separate in winds exceeding 35 miles per hour. Maximum temperature difference with a 4×8 ft absorber and a single barrel of water plus 3 additional back mirrors is 30f. The goal for the winter time is to allow natural light to penetrate the south side and redirect sunlight missing the greenhouse from the north side. Mirror arrays can be set for different times of the day with or without tracking. The 50 gallon water barrels act as heat retention ponds storing heat during the day to radiate at night time. The optimal solution would be to use an exterior black hose system circulating water to build heat during the day. The larger the amount of hose and number of barrels determine how much heat can be stored. I has consulted these systems with success to a few northern growers and also animal rescues for winterizing shelters.
